
A century of Ach. Brito
Ach Brito, a century-old hygiene and beauty products company, celebrates 100 years of history in 2018. Founded in Porto in 1918 by brothers Achilles and Affonso de Brito, the brand developed icons such as Patti soap, which evokes memories of the famous singer Adelina Patti, and Musgo Real, a product much appreciated by the upper classes, throughout the 20th century. Throughout its history, Ach Brito overcame challenges, such as the nationalization of the German company Claus & Schweder, where Achilles de Brito was a bookkeeper, and managed to remain in the market to this day, with a brand image associated with Portuguese identity.
